Wednesday’s Word

Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord (Psalm 150:6).

This verse is the last of the psalms recorded in Psalms, The closing thought of God, in Psalms, is praise to God. In a sense, animals “praise” God by their existence; man praises God by choice.

The existence of man and all creation, proves the existence of God, but it is man who has the ability to appreciate the Creator. Man is the only creation made in the image of God; man is the only creation given a soul; man is the only creation, for whom Jesus Christ died and man is the only creation who has the opportunity to obey the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Animals respond to abuse and affection; man responds to abuse and affection, but only man has the ability to love with the love of God. Man has the ability to love and to praise the Creator and the Savior of our souls.

The end for animals is the grave; the end of man is an eternal abode: Heaven or Hell. Hell is prepared for the Devil and his angles; Heaven is prepared for all who are faithful to God. Heaven is a wonderful blessing and man should praise God for this great blessing.

The praise of God, from man, should be with every breath because God is worthy. Those faithful to God, praise God in this life, in preparation, to praise God eternally.
