Wednesday’s Word

O Lord, thou hast searched me and known me (Psalm 139:1).

God said that He knew Abraham, and He knew Abraham would lead his family in the way that God would have them go (Genesis 18:19).

God knew Abraham; God knew the psalmist and God knows us. But, what does God know about us?

God knows everything. God knows what we think, say, do and desire. He knows our strengths and our weaknesses; He knows what we do and why we do it; He knows what we do not do and why we do not do it. God knows us inside and out; upside and down. God knows us, better than we know ourselves. God knows what we do and God sees the thoughts and intents that motivate us.

We can deceive man, in many things; we can even deceive ourselves, but we cannot deceive God. God knows that we are His children and God knows if we serve Him with all heart, soul, strength and mind. Our brethren may never know our true heart, but God truly knows our hearts, every moment of every day (I Corinthians 2:11).

God knows our needs, better than we know our needs. We are at times confused between our wants and our needs, but God knows our needs which will help us on the path of righteousness. God knows our needs, better than we know how to ask in prayer, concerning our needs. The periphery of man is very limited, but God, who sees from beginning to end, knows our needs and He is able to satisfy our needs.

Let us trust God, who has examined us, therefore He knows what is best for each of us.
