Tuesday’s Time

Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King (Psalm 139:2).

God chose Israel: God chose Jacob over Esau; Isaac was the chosen one, not Ishmael. It was Abraham, with whom God made a covenant and David, the youngest of the brothers, through whom the seed line continued. Therefore, the Jews could and should have rejoice because they were chosen by God. Without God, Israel would have never attained the glory and power they enjoyed; without God, Israel would have never found deliverance from Egypt; without God, Israel would have never made it across the Red Sea; without God, Israel would have never survived the journey to the Promised Land; without God, there would have never been a Promised Land; without God, Israel would not have overcome their oppressors; without God, Israel would have never conquered Canaan.

Paul wrote to the Romans, that the church is true Israel. As the church, we need to realize, that without God the church would have never existed; without God, there would be no remission of sin; without God, there would be no hope; without God, there would have been no peace in this life or the life to come; without God, there would be no resurrection; without God, there would be no Heaven.

God was the true King of Israel and God is the King of His kingdom. Jesus Christ is God; Jesus Christ is King of kings; Jesus Christ is the King of the Kingdom of Heaven and Jesus Christ is the only king who will rule over the Kingdom of Heaven. Through Jesus Christ our King, we find joy; without Jesus Christ, there is no true joy.

Let us rejoice in our King and let us tell the world about our King.
