Thursday’s Thought

I will praise the Lord according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the Lord most high (Psalm 7:17).
Do you praise God? If so, why? The Psalmist said that God is worthy, God is worthy of his praise. The word translated “praise” could also be translated: revere or worship. God is worthy to be held in awe; God is worthy of our reverence and God is worthy to be worshiped.
God created all things, including man, therefore man owes everything to God. Without God we would have nothing; without God we would be nothing; without God we would not exist; without God we would not… Because of God we know love, mercy, grace, truth and joy; without God, these things would not exist in our lives. God is worthy of our desire to honor Him; God is worthy of our good thoughts and intents; God is worthy of our praise and adoration; God is worthy to be esteemed; God is worthy for us to bow before, submit ourselves and worship Him.
Think of all of what God has done for mankind; what God is doing and what God has promised to do. God has made it possible for man, who has a very limited life span, to live eternally in Heaven. God has made it possible for man, to live eternally in a place where all the sorrows of this life will not exist. God has made it possible for man, to live with God.
God is worthy and we should glorify His great and matchless name.
