Thank You

VBS 2013 has come and gone. Thanks to all who so tirelessly worked and made the VBS the success that it was. Thank you to all the students who came and participated in our classes by which you so graciously encouraged our teachers.

The VBS theme was “The Bible is God’s Word”; the topics were: How the Bible Came to Us; The Bible is Inspired; The Bible and Prophecy; The Bible and Science; and Are there Mistakes in the Bible? Our classes allowed us to study about the Bible and to study the Bible.

Each of the lessons showed the perfection of the word of God and man’s need for that word. The lessons led us to a greater desire to more diligently study God’s word so that we may better know its Author. Each day let us feast upon the “bread of life” that we may grow thereby.

In four Sundays will be our homecoming and gospel meeting. This year brother Jerry Martin will be our speaker throughout the meeting and I know that he will do a tremendous job. We must each pray and work for the success of the gospel meeting. As members of the Logan Martin congregation it is the responsibility of each individual to determine that we will attend every service and in doing so we will encourage each other. Through our attendance we show love for God and love for our brethren.

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) 24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching (Hebrews 10:22-25).

This past month our attendance has been exceptional good. Keep up the good work and keep Satan on the run.
