The other day I was walking through the Cracker Barrel in Pell City and noticed a shirt that simply said “Poor planning on your part, does not constitute an emergency on my part”. How true that really is. Planning is something that we must take very seriously, both in our own lives, and in the Lords church. We know from God’s word that Jesus is busy now preparing a place for us in Heaven (John 14:2-3). Great leaders which are revealed to us through God’s word are known to be men who spent much time in preparation. Moses was a man who spent eighty years (Ex 7:7) in preparation for forty years of work, the life of Noah reveals a man who was 500 years old at the time he had his children (Gen 5:32), and 600 years old when the floodwaters fell on the earth (Gen 7:6).
