Monday’s Moments

They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever (Psalm 125:1).

Through the psalmist, God gave assurances to His followers. Israel knew that mount Zion was in its place and that God was the only one capable of moving it. God also desired Israel to know that by the might of God, they were safe in following Him.

The christian, enjoys the same assurance from God. Time and time again, God has proven His ability to care for His children; time and time again, God had proven His ability to protect His children; time and time again, God has proven His ability to defeat Satan.

Jesus assured His followers that they could not be plucked out of the hands of Jesus or of the Father (John 10:28-29).When doubts arise and fear finds its way into our faith, let us find strength in the faithfull assurances of God.

By ourselves, we can never be saved; by ourselves, we can never remain faithful. But, with God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26) and through Christ, I can do all things (Philippians 4:13). In Christ and in Christ alone I can be saved; in Christ and in Christ alone, I can enjoy life abundantly; in Christ and in Christ alone, I can enjoy Heaven.

This day: trust in the Lord.
