Monday’s Moment

But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him and his righteousness unto children’s children (Psalm 103:17).
God’s mercy is from everlasting to everlasting because He is God. God is eternal and God is merciful. If He ceases to be either of these, He ceases to be God. God tells us that His scheme of redemption, for mankind, existed before the world and man were created. God’s mercy existed, before the world and man were created. If God had not been the God of mercy, He would have never of created man. When God created man, the death warrant for the Son of God was signed. God created man, knowing that man would sin and sin would demand the death of Jesus. But, because of His eternal mercy, God created man.The mercy of God is offered and available to every person, but His mercy will be realized only by those who obey Him. Jesus sent His followers to all the world, to teach the gospel to every creature; Jesus called for all to come unto Him; Jesus died for all. But, only those who obey Him, will receive the benefit of the mercy of God.Indeed, the mercy of God is eternal, it will exist as long as God exist. The mercy of God is manifested in the life of those who faithfully follow God and His mercy will be manifested in the eternal lives of those in Heaven. What a wonderful blessing; what a beautiful picture painted for all the faithful of all the ages. Heaven and earth will pass away, but the mercy of God will last forever. Let us live faithful lives unto God so that we may enjoy the mercy of God, today and forever.
