Monday’s Moment

The Lord loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob (Psalm 87:2).
Have you ever considered the things “loved” by God? Our prayer should be that every person would know that God loves them. It is often stated that, God loves the world, which is absolutely true. But, it is much better to know that as an individual, God loves me. God knows each of us as individuals and God knows our individual needs. God knows us better than we know ourselvesĀ  and He continues to love us. One of the saddest thoughts in the world, is the thought that no one loves me. Therefore, the greatest thought should be, that the greatest One loves me.
God loved Jerusalem, because He had chosen to put His name there; God loved Jerusalem, because He had chosen to put His temple there; God loved Jerusalem, because He had chosen for His only begotten Son to die there; God loved Jerusalem, because He had chosen for His Son to be raised from the grave there; God loved Jerusalem, because He had chosen for His Kingdom to be established there; God loved Jerusalem, because He had chosen for His word to go to all the world from there.
Remember: God loves His children. God loves His children so much that He has prepared a “new Jerusalem” wherein He will dwell eternally with His faithful children. God painted a beautiful picture in the Old Testament of the old city Jerusalem, depicting His love for those who dwelled in Jerusalem. One day all those who have overcome will dwell eternally in the new Jerusalem (Revelation 21:2).
This day, thank God for His love and live every day as those who know the love of God.
