Monday’s Moment

I will freely sacrifice unto thee: I will praise thy name, O Lord: for it is good (Psalm 54:6).
Why do you live the life you live? Why do you choose the words you choose? Why do you go where you go and do what you do? The psalmist said that he sacrificed freely, unto God, because of God’s goodness. He further stated that he praised God, because of God’s goodness.
If one chooses not to sacrifice unto God, is it because God is not good? If one chooses not to praise God, is it because God is not good? There may be many reasons presented, but it will never be true that God is not good.
As you begin to list the blessings we each receive from God, I would suggest that we begin with the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.  Then, if there is an end to your list, I would suggest that you end the list with the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Remember, before the foundation of the world was laid, God knew that Jesus would be sacrificed on the cross. Remember, that when God was with Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, He knew that He would sacrifice His Son on the cross. Remember, that when Noah was building the ark, God knew that the Second Person of the Godhead would die on the cross. Remember, that when Israel was walking through the Red Sea on dry ground, God knew that Jesus would be sacrificed on Calvary. Remember, that when His children rejected Him as their King, God knew that Jesus Christ would give His life on Golgotha. Remember, that when the chosen people chose other gods, God knew that Jesus would die so that we can live.
So, why do you live the life you live? Remember…
