Monday’s Moment

Some trust in chariots and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God (Psalm 20:7).
In whom or in what do you trust? When times are difficult; when trouble has found you; when the storms of life surround you, where do you place your trust? To answer the question did you have to think; do you have to weigh the situation; do you check to see who is available or do you have an automatic response? As a child of God, I pray your automatic response is, God. No matter the trial; no matter the trouble; no matter the difficulty; no matter the storm: God is and must always be the answer.
God, through Peter, tells us to: cast all of our burdens upon Him (God), for He (God) careth for us. The idea is that God has concern and interest in us and that He is able to handle any and all situations that arise in our lives. God wants us to hand our lives over to Him; God wants us to relieve ourselves of these burdens; God wants us to be at peace.
Some place their trust in the things of this world; some place their trust in the god of this world; some place their trust in the people of this world, failing to realize that this world and all the works therein will one day be burned up. This world is temporary, God is eternal. Never let us place our trust and hope in that which is temporary when we have available that which is eternal. The things of this world fail us daily while God has never failed us.
Let us place our trust in the One who has proven Himself and has promised to never leave us nor forsake us. Let us put our trust in God.
