Joyful Times

God and His inspired writers described what generated joy for them. True joy was and is found in the faithful service of saints unto God; true joy was and is found in the obedience of the gospel by others; true joy was and is found in the salvation of the soul.

And not only [so], but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement (Romans 5:11).

Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all (Philippians 2:17).

For what [is] our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? [Are] not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming (I Thessalonians 2:19)?

For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother (Philemon 7).

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth (III John 4).

The Logan Martin church of Christ has truly been blessed in the last few days, and this year has been a great and wonderful year. We have gained many new families and we have gained many new fellow soldiers.  We congratulate: Francis Hurst, Logan Lambert and John William Stocks in their decisions to put Christ on in baptism. We rejoice with them and with Heaven as the army of Christ has been strengthened.

I rejoice with the excitement that is manifested by the service of the saints at Logan Martin. I am greatly encouraged by the desire stated and shown by so many to faithfully serve our Lord and God. I rejoice with the wonderful numbers who are present to worship God and who encourage one another in doing so. Thank you for the joy I receive in your participation and enthusiasm in the Fundamental Foundations Class. Thank you for the thrill that it gives my heart to be able to lead our little ones in Pew Packers and the excellent support given by the parents.

Let me encourage you to enjoy these things and these days, realizing that Satan does not enjoy them and he will seek to steal your joy. Let us also enjoy these things knowing that our Father in Heaven is rejoicing with and for us. Let us rejoice knowing that we are bringing pleasure to God, the one through whom all spiritual blessings are received. Let us rejoice knowing that in these blessings we taste a little bit of Heaven, where there will be eternal joy.

Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice (Philippians 4:4).
