A BIG THANK YOU!

“Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.  Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”
Matt 18:3-4

Where can I start, and who do I start with?  Our Vacation Bible School has come to an end for 2010 and what a great time it was. Our attendance was very good, the lessons were incredible, and the decorations were out of this world. Those who were here were encouraged by the lessons presented in each and every class. It does me great good to watch even our youngest kids recite the “memory verse”, and how encouraging is it to watch members of our congregation encourage even our smallest members in this.

Some of the kids were our own, some were guest, but ALL are valuable in the sight of God. God’s word is plain that we are to become like “little children” (Matt 18:3) if we expect to enter the kingdom of heaven. Think to yourself of the great opportunities that exist with our youngest members. Think of the joy they experienced in learning the word of God during VBS this past week. Think of the zeal that was instilled in them because of the efforts made here to put this event on for each of them.

The question is, where will we go from here? Let’s make sure we take time to follow up with our guest that we continue to invite those who took time to come be with us last week and let them know how important their presence was.

Thank you for making my work with this congregation a complete joy, to each of our parents and grandparents, thank you for the work you do with your children and grandchildren, and thank you for allowing me the opportunity to work with them. Thank you to each of our teachers for the time you put into lessons, and decorations, and teaching our children. Thank you to those who worked in crafts, you are much more patient then myself. Thank you to those who brought refreshments. Thank you to those who spent HOURS decorating to make this a special time for our kids, I have never seen the building look so great. Finally Thank you to everyone who made it a point to be here at VBS at every opportunity possible!
