Tuesday’s Time

For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name’s sake lead me and guide me (Psalm 31:3).
The Psalmist recognized God as his deliverer and protector, the One worthy of all praise and honor. The penman considered what God had done in times past for him. He remembered that God had delivered him out of the hands of his enemies; he remembered that God had been a fortress about him. God had given the Psalmist strength to endure and overcome the trials in his life and it was God who defeated the enemies of the Psalmist. The Psalmist understood that it was God who gave him the victories and it was God who gave him life. Therefore he realized that he owed all to God; that without God, he would not even exist.
The Psalmist knew what we need to know; the Psalmist understood what we need to understand and the Psalmist realized what we need to realize. God is our hope; God is our help; God is our strength; God is our protector; God is our deliverer; God is our peace and God is our life. Without God we have no hope; without God we have no help; without God we have no strength; without God we have no protector; without God we have no deliverer; without God we have no peace and without God we have no life.
Let us recognize what God has done and is doing in our lives. Let our prayer be that for God’s glory, He will lead and guide us through this life and home to Heaven.
