Thursday’s Thought

Give unto the Lord the glory due unto this name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness (Psalm 29:2).
God is worthy all praise, honor and glory; God is worthy, above any and all others. We should make sure that we give God the praise due Him and we should make sure that we never give anyone else the praise and honor due God. God is the creator of all things; the giver and sustainer of life and He is the hope of eternal life. No one else can do these things and no one else can be God. There is one God and there are none like Him.
James recorded that all good and perfect gifts come from God; Jesus declared that those who follow Him will enjoy the abundant life. We owe all praise and honor to God, because He is the only one worthy.
God is the one worthy of praise and honor, and God is the only one worthy to be worshiped. The apostles said they were not to be worshipped, but God is the one worthy of worship; the angels said they were not to be worshipped, but God is the one worthy of worship; and Jesus said Satan was not to be worshipped, but God is the one worthy of worship. The worship of God is a responsibility, an obligation, a privilege and an honor. Not everyone is allowed to worship God and not everyone’s worship is accepted by God. God seeks those who worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:23). Let us diligently strive to be numbered with those who worship in spirit and in truth; let us diligently strive to be numbered with those whom God seeks.
As we start this day, let us: praise God from whom all blessings flow and let us prepare to worship God as He desires.
