Tuesday’s Time

I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth al thy marvellous works (Psalm 9:1).
The word translated “praise” could also be translated: revere, worship, confess, or praise. The phrase “my whole heart” is from a single word in the original meaning: very widely the feeling, the will and the intellect; likewise for the centre of anything. Sounds very similar to the words of Jesus commanding worship to be in “spirit and in truth” (John 4:24).
All of life is not worship, but all of life affects our worship. The worshiper of God does not honor and revere God only in worship but in every aspect of life. Jesus said that we are to let our lights shine that the world may see our good works and glorify the Father. When we fail to glorify God daily, we cannot glorify God in worship.
God is worthy to be praised more than one day a week; God is worthy to be praised every second of every day. We are commanded to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. Thus, we are to glorify God with every fiber of our being. With every thought, with every desire, with every word, with every deed we are to bring glory to the name of God.
Let us determine as did the psalmist that we will continuously praise God and tell others of His great love.
