Tuesday’s Time

Why seeing times are not hidden from the Almighty, do they that know him not see his days (Job 24:1)?
Perhaps you have asked or else you have heard the question asked, Why do the wicked prosper? Why does it seem that the ungodly gets all the breaks? Why do the unrighteous make all the money? On and on and on the questions continue concerning the good fortune of the disobedient. Job asked, but he also answered the question.
No, all debts are not settled in this life, because there is more to come beyond the confines of the physical. The apostle Paul states that all will be judged according to the things done is this physical body (II Corinthians 5:10). Rich and poor; godly and ungodly; all will die, all will be raised and all will be judged. The ungodly had better enjoy this life because there will be no joy for them in eternity. The inspired writer tells us that there are pleasures of sin, but he also reminds us that these pleasures are but for a season (Hebrews 11:25). God also reminds His faithful children that they will face trials, tribulations and persecutions but these will only be for a season and the Heavenly reward is forever (II Corinthians 4:17).
Let our eyes, hearts and minds go beyond the temporary thrills of this world and dwell upon the eternal graciousness of God. Knowing God, let us live in His love and be strengthened in His mercy.
