Thursday’s Thought

And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding (Job 28:28).
Job considered the difference between God’s infinite wisdom and man’s very limited wisdom. In speaking of God, Job said, “He looketh to the ends of the earth” (Job 28:24); God sees from the beginning to the end and everything in between; God is all knowing. Man is not all knowing; man does not see from the beginning to the end; man is not ever present; but, man can have absolute assurance in God. Man does not know what the next minute will hold, but man can know the One who does know. In the split-second of time wherein our hearts beat, we do not even know if the next heartbeat will come, but God knows all things from everlasting to everlasting.
Do you trust God? Do you have biblical faith, made up of substance and evidence, of what God has done assuring of what God will do?
We have not seen Heaven, but God says Heaven awaits the faithful. We have not seen tomorrow, but if the world continues, we can know tomorrow God will be in control. We have not seen the trials and tribulations Satan will place in our paths, but we can know that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.
Let us not put our trust in man’s wisdom, but in the wisdom of the all knowing God.
