It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

It is hard to believe December has arrived and the end of the year is near!  2015 has been a very busy year for this congregation. From our “progressive gospel meeting” to kick the year off this congregation has hit the ground running. 2016 is upon us and it brings many new and exciting possibilities for this congregation. Your calendar is much like mine, and it fills up in a hurry! It is never to early to begin marking your calendar for events in the upcoming year.

We are thankful that our Elders have identified and appointed two new men to the work of deacon. Jared and Jordan will be wonderful assets in serving this congregation. It is exciting to see our Elders also put forward the names of men to be appointed to serve this congregation as part of the Eldership, please continue to pray for Tim, David and their families during this time. I also have the new task of spending more time working with our families. Moses was very clear speaking to the second generation of the Israelite nation that parents are to teach “diligently” the scriptures to their children (Duet 6:7) and our Elders in their wisdom are using this pattern while working to make changes to our youth program to help all of our families grow and mature. Our Elders realize that as parents are the primary teachers they grow and mature, and the children grow and mature spiritually. Thanks be to God for our wonderful parents and the work you do with your children, and I am excited about working with you!

I wanted to give a brief look some of the activities left this year and that are planned for next year. Please take a moment and mark your calendars and make plans to attend and participate!
